How do you get a chinstrap beard?? any advice?

heres a little description of a chinstrap:


a thin beard that grows along the jawline and to the chin on both side

You will have to use a precision shaving tool and be careful, one thing that I have done is employ my girlfriend to help keep the lines straight, and she thinks that it is 'hot' (cute) to help me with my beard...How do you get a chinstrap beard?? any advice?
My guy started shaving like that recently...according to him, you just gotta take it slow for a while so that you can get the lines straight. I've never helped him, but I suppose asking someone for some guidance couldn't hurt.
