Advice to get him interested again?

I was chatting with the guy i like online and since we're so open, i started talking about this really cute hat that i wanted, but couldn't get. He laughed it off, but didn't know what to say next. like he thinks i'm expecting him to go get me it. and I'M NOT. it's just that we're so open that i thought hearing me rant a little about girl stuff wouldn't affect him as much as it did. i really like him, and i'm scared that i might've scared him off. i think he thinks that i'm high maintanance now. T_T

If your so open with him, why can't you just tell him what you just wrote. If your worried about it talk to him otherwise let it goAdvice to get him interested again?
Just tell him that you don't expect him to get the hat. Explain that you were ranting about it like you do with other friends and that it was not a hint at something more than that. Don't stress out too much if he rolls his eyes or brushes it off. Don't let it bother you and keep talking to him. He'll sooner or later forget about the incident and move on. Something that small shouldn't scare him off.
