Need advice on getting back into weight training after sickness?

i like to workout but ive been sick for a week or so. before i got sick, i lifted weights 5 times a week and ran once a week. i know when i go back im going to be out of shape. whats the best way to get back to where i was at.Need advice on getting back into weight training after sickness?
I have been training for nearly 20 years. During that time I have had injuries, a car accident, and sickness. I know how hard it is to get back with that dread of knowing how weak you will be. I'll give you a shot of confidence. At least half of those times after a sickness I was just as strong as I was when I stopped (a week or so). If you were training that hard, this may have ben just what your body needed to fully recuperate. if you lost some wieght because of the sickness and you are a little weaker, no problem. People call it muscle memory. Your muscle conditioning will bounce back almost instantly.

Now don't f around and get into that gym tommorow.Need advice on getting back into weight training after sickness?
No offense but running once a week and lifting weights five times a week isnt that big of a deal. After the first or second week max you should be back to usual. My bf's a fitness junkie, he lifts(weight trains) 6 times a week and runs 4 times a week not including the three to four times a week we meet in cardio lounge; and this is for as long as ive known him. Just get back to doing what you do but push for more. Even if you cant do more(which i doubt you cant) you will be back on track in two weeks time. promise;)
