Start liking hippies and hating yourself. Refer to yourself as ';pig'; as much as possible. Hate the Marines to get bonus points.

Better yet, become an attorney instead.
- Previous experience is probably one thing that is wanted.
- Good moral character with proper values.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- No previous violations of any sort (Example - jail time, etc.).

Now is a really good time. San Francisco needs about 300 officers. Just apply and be sure not to lie at any time on any application or interview. If you do they will find out about it.
Oakland needs police officers too. That's just across the bay.
Depends. Do you have any police experience in Florida? Any CJ courses? Although I think a lot of officers may have some kind of military background, I doubt it's an automatic ';in';.
Also, it's San Francisco - so, according to the movies, you will have to be adept at driving over hilly streets, dodging Chinese dragons in parades and avoiding men that seem to always to be carrying a large pane of glass across the street!
