Does anyone know where I can get some great legal advice.?

Im having a custody situation with my ex husbandDoes anyone know where I can get some great legal advice.?
Free legal advise is worth exactly what you pay for it.

Contact your State or local Bar Association and ask about a lawyer referral service.Does anyone know where I can get some great legal advice.?
Family law varies from state to state. If you don't already have an attorney, I strongly recommend that you find one.

The best way if you don't know any attorneys, is to first ask friends for referrals. Ask the attorney when you call them if they handle family law matters. If they don't, ask the attorney for a referral to a family law attorney.

Another option is to contact your local or state bar association. They maintain a list of attorneys by areas of practice, and can refer you to a family law attorney in your area. As always, you should interview the attorney before hiring them, to determine if the attorney is someone you can work with and if you are comfortable with their style of practice.
Along with the above answers, some law schools have clinics that provide various legal services - usually in the social areas like family law or landlord/tenant matters. Contact local schools or if no luck, contact local bar association.

You may qualify for ';pro bono'; (free) help.
My suggestion to you would be the following. Now mind you this will probably incite some furor from fellow answerers here. Ask around town for some man hating attorneys. I know this sounds bad but it can work and that is the way you sometimes have to work it. Call this list of attorneys whose names you had dropped to you. Make yourself a list of questions, but first find out if they charge a consultation fee, some do.

You can research laws on findlaw.com or your states law website. Libraries have law books in them. Paralegals maybe willing to share advice.
The only ';great'; legal advice you'll get is from your attorney.
A family law lawyer is your best bet. Look either in the Yellow Pages, online, or check the Martindale Hubbel. Or ask a friend who has legal representation and go to them for advice on a family law lawyer.
