Before you go, now even, get a TEFL certificate; this and a degree are the basic qualfiications. Also you might want to take a few lessons in Arabic just to give you a head start before you arrive. It's not essential for teaching, but for outside the school, shopping and so on, it's a good idea.
Also, join some expat in Egypt forums and lurk there a while to get the feel of what it's like lliving there as a foreigner.
