First, decide what services you want to offer.
Second, decide how many drivers you are willing to hire.
Third, research your market (this should probably be first rather than third....), and start building contacts within your market.
Fourth, when you start your company, advertise, advertise advertise.. Go out and do sales calls.
Word of mouth will sell your company pretty quickly, so have GOOD SERVICE and decent prices.
Be wary when you hire people. Good drivers are NOT a dime a dozen, so don't think that way. Screen who you hire, make sure they care about what they do.Im considering starting a freelance courier business. Anyone got some advice about this business?
My solution is not politicaly correct but it would work.Go work for a courier firm, stay a bit,get friendly with the best account customers, then start on your own at a droped price, and make sure when you leave take the customers list bingo.Im considering starting a freelance courier business. It's a crowded market.
We have a guy out here that will deliver anything local for cost plus five bucks. You want some McDonalds? Cost plus five bucks. Case of Beer? Cost plus five bucks. Keep it local, and you could make some money. You might even be able to charge a little extra for certain items at certain times of the day (or night) All you need for this business is a car and a cellphone......and the ability to stay up all night!
Hire me and i will drive around butt naked .. that will put the sales up..let me tell you...lol xxx
