How do we sell a truck safely? We've never done a for sale by owner and have always traded in.Got any advice for selling a vehicle?
Clean it up, change the oil, and make it smell nice inside. When you sell the truck, make sure you give a Bill of Sell and state that it is ';Sold As Is, Where Is';, and have the purchaser sign two(2) copies of the Bill of Sell. You keep one and one goes with the new owner, along with the title, which by the way, you need to fill out the back side of and sign. Some states require the title owner to send in the bottom half of the title to the states DMV with the milage and date and price paid for the vehicle.Got any advice for selling a vehicle?
like rex said but also do not lie , leave that to the ';pros';
tell anybody you can and try to put th price high and state that you can negociate
Be realistic about what the car is worth.
post it in the paper and through 4sale sighns in the windows
You can use Craigslist. Post a pic or several. Be honest about any probs. Leave only an e-mail link so you can return calls to people who email u. Do not show truck by yourself, always with someone. Good Luck.
Get the value of the truck from KellyBlueBook.com or NADA.com. Then you can post it in the classified ads of a news paper, or autotrader.com or even eBay. Whatever you do, don't give the buyer the keys and title UNTIL the check clears. Never finance a buyer (take payments). You'll get screwed if you do.
